ParticipantYou know back when I was a lot younger we use to do the same thing for ski jumping at Steamboat the calcutta was a blast and we use to get a local establishment to host it. For the underaged we’d supply sodas and the rest of us, well you know. The local eatery made buckets of money we’d contribute 10% of the money collected to the racers, and everyone had a good time. Then the next day we’d compete for the money, who cares if you win it, just knowing it was there made all the more fun. I’m building a 125 shifter and I’m in.

ParticipantSounds great………………….A tuner challenge II should be part of this too, I would love to defend my title ( see MINI DENVER GRAND PRIX I results) and you will see who really won.
Mike KING OF THE MINI GRAND PRIX I Edwards
P.S. Bring it on Kistler………..there will be NO short cuts this time!

InactiveMikey,
How does Curt keep his cigar lit? That’s more than likely whats slowing him.

ParticipantI was PUNKED by Mikey and Rich at that race. And I accept your re-match challenge. Maybe Jim can put something together for Saturday afternoon 10-07-06 with spotters and black flags on the track this time. I will even drive with a gasser hanging out of the old helmut just to prove you are slow Edwards!

ParticipantExample:
6 guys, LeMans start. Engines dead. Shifter race will have pushers 5 feet behind kart. Green flag drops, pushers push their karts off.
After the 1st lap is completed, the kart running last after every lap is black flagged until the last man stands.
Terry Riggins runs these in Great Lakes SKUSA. They seem to be alot of fun.
For TaG you utilize the same concept, but make the drivers run from across the track, jump in and T a G!

ParticipantNIiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice…I like the pursuit idea…I also like the opportunity to knock people down as they try to get to their karts. Physical contact should not be black flagged BEFORE we get to our seats, hahaha. (tie a competitor’s shoelaces together before the start, etc.) Since I am not a big guy, i will have to be VERY nefarious!
