I’ve taken my 97 Miata on the track in GJ at the Flyin Miata Open House. I barely get out of 2nd gear down the first straight. I usually go every year-Bill and Terry are truly nice folks. If you want seat of the pants pucker factor-drive a Turbo charged Miata! 350 true RW Horse on a car that weighs under 2000lbs. Whatever you do dont buy the Jackson Super Charger. If you’re going to buy an after market power mod go for either the Flyin Miata Uber Charger or one of the Flyin Miata Turbo kits. I’ve driven both and they do not disappoint!

Karting is still where its at! Enjoy your Miata Doug, they’re great cars.

So, Doug….if you feel like feeding another speed addiction, Spec Miata is some of the best car racing i’ve seen…….. 8)

If you start running Spec Miata, better make sure your wallet is full. A friend of mine who used to race Rotax is running Spec Miata and it costs him 5 – 10 times as much as the Rotax to get the Miata running competitively. And you’d better like doing bodywork!

I did buy a Harley once, 1972 XLH brand new. Paid $2,300. Think I’ll start looking on Craigs List for a scooter.
