I did not get a download cable with my mychron3 so I purchased one from Billet.
It seems that I have a male end on my mychron and a male end on my USB cable. Am I missing something?
On the internet I saw some download kits that looked like more than a cable. They seemed to include some type of black box also???

The cable should have a round end and a USB end.
The round end goes in the lower part of the MYCHRON in the center. There is a plastic cover with the letters AIM once you pull the plastic flap you will see the connector for the round end of the cable.
The other end connects to your Laptop USB to download the data to your Laptop.

Go to http://www.aimsports.com/ and download the race studio version for the Mychron 3.

    Good Luck. :rotate:

I figured that much but the little round plug on the mychron has four pins sticking up, so does the cable

    Thanks.

Call Scott Jessup at AIM and he will fix you up. You got the wrong cable. I went through the same thing.

The Mychron3 Basic unit takes a different cable than Mychron3 Plus or Gold. I didn’t know the physical difference between the cables but was pleased to see the Plus/Gold cable is cheaper… 😆

    Craig,

I’m going to be out at The Track this Sunday. Wanted to see if you had plans as well.

    Hope all is well.

Barry called and straightened things up. Yep, I have a plus cable and need the basic cable which costs more. thanks

    Tony.
I will be out there. I am having shoulder surgery on the the 14th so would like to gets of practice in between now and then and of course there is also the race next weekend. I think it will be quite busy out there on Sunday.
Will you be out there driving?

Now I have to clean the kart. You would cringe if you knew how dirty it is. Had a few off track experiences at IMI which cost me a chain and sprocket.

    Craig,

Sorry to hear about the shoulder surgery. I will be out there on Sunday with my kart. It’s all a bit new to me, not having driven in four months, new motor package, new chassis. I just need to get some seat time more than anything. I agree, it most likely will be crowded on Sunday, but it will be good to see some familar faces.

    See you on Sunday.

    Tony

    P.S. Clean that kart!
