ParticipantCadet chassis and small rear tires have an advantage over adult chassis w larger tires. Anybody thought about that angle?

ParticipantWith the light weights your running 700’s will work. Maybe test w/ 450’s

That wouldn’t change the advantage of a shorter wheel base the cadet chassi has.
I read here in this post that there is all ready at least one person that can’t get down to 265 minimum.
Shure racing a kart with out lead is nice, but the reality of most racing has some weight added to make more people fit into a class.
If a new racer is looking to race in a class they will first eliminate the classes that they don’t fit into, very unlikely will they join a class that they don’t fit into and then ask that class to change the rules for them.just my opinion, but running alky in these industrail motors is the cheepest bang for the buck you can buy. Cleaner burning, cheeper to buy, cooler running temps, no carbon build up, doesn’t stink, safer, and a nationally accepted fuel of choice.

We are starting at 265 lbs and we can see where we have to go from there.March 4, 2007 at 5:24 pm #56967Rodney Ebersole
ParticipantI don’t have a Jr. racer, yet it is still odd to me that the minority in this pole is the starting point. With 1/3 wanting the lowest weight, just what does it take to see where it needs to go?
When I was a kid racing karts the best races were street races that had light, medium and heavy classes that all could be run with the same equipment on the same day just by increasing with lead and a gear change after each race. It didn’t take 11 days to bolt on 25 pounds more for each class. - AuthorPosts
