It is geared a bit low. We run an 79/80 on depending on conditions. But your driver also has to learn to carry more speed through the hair pin. We don’t drop below 7,400 and gearing alone won’t make up the difference. All things being equal, each tooth is good for about 200 rpm. So 4 teeth will only bring it up to 6,000.

ParticipantThank you Doug,
We have been practicing that turn a lot. Is 12 in the front good? Also what do you suggest to run at IMI in the front and back. Thanks,

ParticipantStart with the following
Centennial 12/80
IMI 13/76
GJ 13/76Some guys run more, some less. The above will get you in the ball park

InactiveHi
Was wondering if these ratio combos would also be used on a TAG Leopard? If not, what would be a good starting point for IMI, GJ, The Track? Does anyone have any suggestions for ratios for CRE in the Springs?
Thanks

ParticipantGear ratios vary from engine to engine, as their powerbands vary greatly. Rotaxes quit making power at about 12,500, whereas leopards spin a couple thousand RPM higher.
Can’t help on the Leopard ratios…maybe someone else can chime in.

ParticipantFor a Leopard in Tag Masters we run a 11/77 at IMI and 10/77 at TTAC. I would imagine the Juniors and seniors are running a little taller.

InactiveThanks much.
I assume TTAC is Centennial (The Track)?
Appreciate the input.
