The ‘real reason’ just isn’t that complicated or that sexy…
At the end of the day, all things considered, I simply decided not to come up to Centennial and risk getting tangled up w/someone in a mixed class ‘fun run’ and potentially do lots of expensive damage to my kart. After blowing my motor to pieces at the last CSC race weekend and, therefore, adding an unforeseen LARGE line item to the 2008 racing budget, I made the decision to go and do other things on Sunday.
Sorry to disappoint…lots going on here and a ‘fun run’ just wasn’t in the mix…

PS – What exactly is the scuttlebut as to why I didn’t show up? I hope it’s really juicy!
I heard it was a sponsor decision–albeit, inline with equipment and capital preservation. Which, I understand. My instructions from my crew were to take you out–HARD. Cause..you know…that’s how we race. I have 4 spare chassis, I don’t need the one I was gonna ram you with.
Team Hard Kart…four chassis?!
That’s it, I’m calling my sponsor now and telling them to step it up!
I’m going to need to invent some type of new conspiracy theory…it’s entirely too quiet around here!
It was a fun day, low stress, good weather, and after correcting some brake issues, Tyler had a good time. Thanks Mr. Bradley for your help and thanks Mr. Urban for your hospitality.
