Giving Brad money does not make things =. We already have 2 motors that are legal with any nationally recognized sanctioning body.

IMI charges about $450 for a complete engine package including a custom built heavy duty clutch, chain guard, throttle cable connection and mounting plate. I suspect this is subsidized by Brad because I can?t believe dealer cost plus the time to build all those parts is less than the amount he charges.

I don?t know about the rules but I can say this is one neat engine. We become more and more pleased with the package as we continue to increase our problem free time with the engine.

Use of a prepared engine is free on race days and only $10 on practice days. I know you will be happy with it. We are.

    Mr Hansen,

I do not know the exact price of the motor because Brad is letting us use them as part of the entry fee for the IMI club races. I do not know if they can be run at the CSC races but contact Brad at IMI for further info.

    Jay,

I do not recall Brad asking me for any money for anything regarding the Honda motor. What I do recall is you not being at the race to witness the equal playing field that the honda motor provides. Do not be so quick to judge something that you have not seen. As far as you having 2 motors that are legal with any nationally recognized sanctioning body. !!!Are you sure that the seals are not leaking!!! If you want a Comer motor that is absolutely legal that will turn over 9500 RPM with a 69 gear on the track guaranteed let me know I have one for sale because we are switching to the Honda motor.

I have not judged anything, I was just stating my opinion on being =.
Oh by the way the Honda motor you are switching to, is it being given to you or do have to buy it and from who? And yes my seals are not leaking, if you would like to talk face to face on that subject instead of mouthing off with a keyboard I would gladly meet you.

So what are people supposed to do with their Comer motors now?

    Paperweights! 😀

I thought that as of the last post CSC was using the Comer motor. If so that means that there is one track to run the Honda. :idn:

Set it on the shelf next to the flat heads, k-80’s, kt-100’s.. and any others that I’ve missed.

I’m looking for one to put on my weed eater but my home owners assocation does tech after every weekly cutting so it must be LEGAL…..

The other question that is, how many drivers were running them?

    Just curious.

    Mikey,

Is the tech done by a group of three weedeater/homeowners? Or the association? Or maybe they hire an indepentant tech inspector that hates 4-strokes, is that why you’re looking for the Comer instead of using one of the old flatheads?

    Jay,

We will be at IMI today running the Honda, feel free to come out and do the same. The motor is supplied on race day at no additonal cost and it is available for practice for $10 a day. Here is a link to information on the Honda. http://www.honda-engines.com/gxh50.htm#

    Thanks

So agian I ask, how many were running in the kids class with or with-out the Honda at the IMI race. Is the number that low? I heard that there were 2 Honda’s and 1 Comer. Is that correct.

Jay L., can you tell me how many there were?

    Drew,

That sounds about right. It was cold and windy there and those that did show up were troopers. I was wearing a dress and Scooter told me she was cold and wanted to go home.

Brad can indulge in the exact numbers…
