Everyone smoked my ass at Action Karting. If I had another shot at the track, I think it would be different. In the first race there I broke a motor and had to switch to a backup…my max rpm’s for that day was just over 10,000 on both motors. I didn’t have the track time to get my chassis setup. The second race I broke a motor mount on the first lap of the race and my chain fell off 4 times. Here’s a note to the wise and to the listening….run an 11 tooth front driver at Bandimere, Steamboat and the Springs. I know a ratio is a ratio, but because bandi is (was) so rough I was running an 85 tooth rear gear and ended up bending the rear gear and I personally believe that the 11 tooth front driver gives a little more torque on the bottom end. I would also recommend running a 13 tooth front driver a Grand Junction and IMI just to see what kind of top end you could get.
