Welcome from the warm state of South Carolina. I would like to chime in on your little “newbie” posts regarding starting in the rear. RIDICULOUS! Last year was my first year in karting and no offense to those of you that are ‘experienced’, but the #1 plate is hanging on MY wall! If you are fast and good then let them race where they qualify. I do feel that there should be markings, i.e., different color numbers or different color hard plate – that only makes sense. Have the rolled black flag available and use it when necessary – it should have been used more in ’03. Also a mandatory drivers meeting, with attendance taken, for all drivers. I saw too many drivers working on their karts and ignoring the PA system when these meetings were being held. Have fun this year and I hope that the fields reach 100 in Tag.
