Rok Cup USA Announces Changes to Rok The Rockies Structure

ROK Cup Promotions announces SBR Motorsports park as the new permanent home of ROK the Rockies in Colorado

Orlando, Florida, August 07, 2018 – Today, ROK Cup Promotions announced that there would be a restructure of the current ROK the Rockies (RTR) format and a new permanent home in Colorado has been found.

“Our last event was my first to trip to SBR, and the atmosphere there is why I got into this crazy sport in the first place. The track layout is amazing; very technical; lots of elevation change, just a cool old school track. Yes the track has some years on it and needs some improvements but no doubt one of cleanest facilities I have ever been to, to me this shows the dedication to wanting to make it great and we look forward to working with Lee and his team” said Garett Potter, Director of Operations at ROK Cup Promotions.

ROK CUP Promotions, along with its current RTR racers, think changing the structure to include one home track to build from will be much better for the program and easier for racers to attend the events as it is located just 1.5 hours from the city of Denver. Overall the best decision for the series to grow and develop into one of the best club programs in the country.

“We have seen great results with the Northern California series at ROK Sonoma and I think SBR has the same potential.” Potter continues.  “Our goal across ROK programs like this is to make karting fun again, get back to where it began, encourage current racers from all over the state of Colorado to come see what we have to offer, and most importantly add new racers to our beloved sport. We are constantly learning and adapting our series’ to ensure we deliver the best possible offering to the Karter.”

    • Tom,

I honestly cannot explain it as well as the folks at SBR. My suggestion is to reach out to them. From what I have been told and can read here, it sounds like you reserve the engine ahead of hand, and then it is there for you when you arrive at the event. But, again, I would reach out to Rok or SBR.

    • Tom,

You can pickup the rental engine Saturday at 11am for practice, all engines are complete, minus engine mount and (cooling system for sifters). Return the engine after the main Sunday and that’s it. We will have Vortex reps on site to help with engine setup. If you would like to rent one please email me [email protected] or call with any questions 504-377-8221. Thanks Garett
