Yeah, no room even for a collapsible trailer. Plus my subie sucks to drive.

bought the kart and fixed the slop (just the bolt from the wheel to the column.

I still don’t have a vehicle to transport the kart in yet =(

anyone know how the kart storage at IMI works?

also, is a little “slop” in the steering wheel normal? I just remembered there was some when I move the wheel on while it was on a kart stand.

I’d like a dd2 if I was only driving/racing at a track, but chances are I’ll auto-x the kart as well. Thus I’m looking at shifters. Plus I’m on a budget and it’s under $6k.

If I could afford a sprinter, I’d get one. But alas my budget for the van is less than the kart. 😯

good point doug. My tiny brain hadn’t though about that aspect =)

I would love to just get a trailer and tow it, but I have no room to store a trailer. The garage is full of everything but a car, and the driveway barely fits my gf’s car and mine. The van would have to be parked on the street (with a permit). That’s the sucky part of living where I do… no room.

I might try to get a van with bigger doors. Some of the chevy’s and gmc’s apparently can open to 56″ so I should be able to just squeeze the kart in without taking anything off. I want to keep setup and tear down to a minimum. I hate packing things up at the end of an auto-x and I’d likely feel the same if not worse after karting.

Did Greg (welch) get a box van? I think he was talking about getting ont. If I could find one that get double digit mpg’s I might look into one of those. I could store the kart and my car tires in there =).

well the van I was looking as was in worse shape then described so I’m still looking.

How tall are (adult) karts normally? Would one fit above the wheelwells of a truck with a topper?
