ParticipantJeff, you are correct – this was Steve’s kart. He is a great guy and is very helpful whenever I ask him any questions about the machine. Sounds like you were his karting buddy he mentioned to me a few times? Don’t worry, I won’t terrorize the neighborhood with it. I am a homeowner too and value my peace and quiet 🙂
Eddy – I would love to meet up with you at Shockwave. I work from home much of the time, so I’m sure I can sneak away for a bit while you’re in town.
Kirk – I’m always glad to meet new fellow enthusiasts, I’ll let you know when I have everything sorted out and ready to drive. IMI is very close to my house so it will be my normal track, but I’ve heard that Centennial is a wicked track too so I’m sure I’ll have to visit there from time to time.
Oh, the seat fits pretty well, snug in the shoulder area with some hip room, but it’s mounted a little too far back. I have to stretch my right leg to get WOT and have to extend my arms a little more than I would like when gripping the steering wheel. The seat currently has only one set of holes drilled so I’ll definitely need to tweak it.Thanks all for the warm welcome!

ParticipantThanks Eddy. It looks like you are in Colorado Springs, so that is quite a haul for me. I am up at 136th and I-25.
I already have a neck collar (round donut kind) but think the newer style with the rectangular part that goes down the back of the neck is a good idea, do you have those?
I also have a good rib protector vest, but I’ll need all the other attire.I am 5’5″, 140 pounds, size ~9 shoes, and wear a 6-7/8 fitted ball cap if that gives you an idea of my size.
Thanks!
