ParticipantWouldn’t it be cool;
If we had a one off race on nuetral ground to end the season?
If we could get all the racers who where divided this year and let them race together again?
To have a turn out greater than 120-130 entries? Reasonable sized classes?
To let the best run each other?
To hang out with all of the families we’ve grown with for the past several years?
To have a refreshment after the day and catch up for last year?
If we weren’t a shredded racing community?
If some of the younger families involved in racing could experience the great times some of the veterans got to?
If all the power struggle was buried for just one day?
If there was a snow balls chance in hell it could ever happen without the racers doing it themselves.
Wouldn’t it be cool?

Watching Ben S in briggs; Tate Hollaran and Flynn Lazier in kid karts with Tate’s sister Lauren playing in the pits walking the dogs, then racing herself. And 20+ fields in TaG Sr and Masters. James Michael in a Briggs without braces! Moto/ICC main with Bobby Wilson, Sam Walls, AJ Noud, Ryan, Scarberrry’s etc. to name a few.
Put aside the “e” in ego and we go forward. One can dream…

ParticipantWait a second… How about the middle of the season and call it the PEPSI Center race. Next year in 2010. TV coverage, BIGGER FIELDS, out of state racers and a good time.
But I get your drift…

ParticipantI know there will be huge race oppurtunities provided by the TTAC and The Skusa Pro Tour both bringing their brand of racng and the temp races should be absolutely incredible next year as well!
It’s going to cost the promoters some big money but it looks like it is going to happen? I suppose more than one Pepsi Center race is even possible?
I was thinking more bout the people we did not get to race with this year. Not who can outlast who, or who can bring the biggest show. Just before we close the chapter on 2009 kart racing, maybe a chance to salvage that continuity we once shared as a racing communuity. A nuetral track, voluteer race support… Just get everyone on the same track racing the same day. Do you think it’s still the same?
I know you do get the drift Mike, and I personally appreciate you having the balls to stand up and say what is right! Of course it won’t happen. It just seems like it would be cool to end 2009 with a sweet taste on the tongue. Like I said, this is my wish full little thought. Wouldn’t it be cool sort of thing! You know?
Next year is going to be unbelievable, it will bring multiple venues, multiple temp circuits, the chances to compete in higher level National Series, trips to Brazil, TV coverage, free big race entries, jumbo trons, out of town national racers… Bigger fields will remain to be seen I suppose.
I’m talking wouldn’t it be cool this year. Thats all.

ParticipantGot it.
I’ve got an idea. :devilhow ’bout a race at the parking lot of Silver Creek High School in Longmont. Near my house and we could have a ball. Plus, plenty of parking and smooooooooooooooooth.
I like your thinking Rickee. This WOULD be fun… And that’s what it’s all about, right? 8)

ParticipantLongmont has some very big smooth parking lots Mikey.
Seagate?
Hell it’s fun to Google Earth the metro and scope the “big enough / smooth enough” opportunities!
Can’t wait for the cool one and some good cold weather food. Sounds like it’s coming, expect company :bb :bb :bb

Participant172 views in a bit over 2 hours–you may be on to something, Rick. Let’s see, a “used tires only” rule, and it could be a inexpensive, fun way to wrap up 2009.
