Famed Scottish world rally racing ace Colin Mcrae was killed last night in a helicopter crash along with his young son and several other young passengers…I personally had dinner with him in Los Angeles at the 2006 X-games and found him to be a huge inspiration to many in the world of motor sports and a wonderful person..his recent fame was the new video game ‘DIRT’ It is a sad day for world rally racing http://news.scotsman.com/entertainme…?id=1483222007

Just an absolute, horrific tragic loss. I’m almost at a loss for words. Colin was absolutely one of the greatest. Its said so often before about people, but he was truly an ambassador for the sport. Most people who have heard of rally racing in the US know who Colin McRae is. He converted thousands (including me) into fans of the WRC. Apparently he was preparing to stage a comeback next season too…
From the impression i got, he was a genuinely great guy too. Always seemed like it on TV. RIP Collin McRae…you’ll be missed. 😥
5 left into 6 right onto heaven….
