    sorry if this is spam but im gonna be at the imi race, getting to meet people and watcing the racing and practicing after the race. I’m looking forward to meeting everyone there!!!! 😀 😀 :rotate: 🙂 :sun:

    What time do the races start on sunday. I would like to come down and check it out but couldn’t find any times.

    Benoit- Practice usually starts at 8:00 and pre-final to main is around 12:00.

    thanks i cant wait. Rich, im going after to practice since im a newbie and if i race ill probably get run over. I’ll be there with Sam Walls as he is being really nice and helping me get started in karting.

    Just start in the back. If you get lapped, don’t try to get out of the way, that could be worse. Just drive the line, try to be predictable and consistant. Nothing worse than a newbi wandering around the track, thats how wrecks are caused. If you get a blue flag, or you know the leaders are coming up on you, the best thing you can do is just drive a little soft down the straight so the faster guys can get by safely.

    thanks for the advice. I understand all of that and when i race i will do my best not to causetrouble cause im sure it pisses people off. I think i will run in a couple of weeks as i havent driven my rotax yet and i havent even driven imi yet! this is gonna be fun. 😀

    What Doug says holds true. Keep your line and if you are on the track with the rental karts GIVE THEM PLENTY OF ROOM!

    yea im just gonna practice after the race and learn all i can, hope to get my rotax going strong. how much does lead cost?

    Scott,

    Doug’s advice is exactly what I would say.

    Actually I willingly started at the end of each race grid for for the first half of my first season in shifters. I did that so I would stay out of everybody’s way.

    Yes I did get lapped, after several races I didn’t, then I started coming in mid-pack
