Today I received some heartbreaking news. I struggle with how to even put it into words. One of our own beloved racing family has lost a son. Craig Mansfield’s son, Chris, was killed in a motorcycle vs. car accident.
Rodney Ebersole shared the news with me, and I haven’t heard any more details, other than the services will be held on Thursday.
I will post information here, as I get it, such as where cards and contributions can be sent.
My heart goes out to Craig and his family.

-Senior Airman Kristopher George Mansfield, USAF, of Denver. Preceded in death by grandparents George and Mary Mansfield and Jim Briguglio. Beloved son of Craig (Marilyne) Mansfield and Julie (Don) Legg; brother of Jeff (Gretchen) Legg and Lynn (John) Holsan; grandson of Ann Briguglio; uncle of Brandon and Nicholas Holsan; also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Celebration of Life, Thursday 12 noon, Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 3201 S. Parker Rd. Services to conclude at the chapel. In lieu of flowers donations suggested to the Air Force Aid Society.
My thoughts are with Craig and his family.
