Inactivethis is where the project is now.
i have completed the frame, i have received tires thank you kurt, been talking about getting an axle soon, steering knuckles are complete, tie rod fabricated.
its looking like it will work, now i realize the journey is still a long one, but everyday i get closer.
i am how ever, a little bit stuck on hubs, i need american hubs, ebay dosent specify what type, so if some one could point me in a good direction or how to tell what type of hub it is, that would be very helpful.
you guys, and gals, have been so helpful!!!
thanks,
Spencer

ParticipantTry Turk Brothers racing. 888-TBR-WINS
In there lastet sale pamplet there front hubs 5/8″ with bearings are $12.00 each and rear 1 1/4″ hubs are $10.00 each. Sale ends Nov. 15thNovember 12, 2006 at 6:41 pm #55361Anonymous
Inactivethanks freezeman. wat is the difference between euro hubs, and american hubs? are american hubs standard?
November 13, 2006 at 2:50 pm #55362Rodney Ebersole
Participantmetric and american stud, spindle and axle sizes. I guess which one is standard depends where your standards are. LOL
The size of your axle determines the size of your rear hubs and your rear hub determines if your going to use rear american wheels or metric. Then the same with the front hubs 5/8″ spindle would be an american hub for american wheels.
You could even build it to your own standards and have american front wheels and metric rears, or vis versa.November 13, 2006 at 3:12 pm #55363Anonymous
Inactivei see. hmmm thank you freezeman. does anyone here have a set of AMERICAN hubs for sale? hit me up if so. thanks

ParticipantSBC that sale ends soon. Even if you happen to find someone around here with a like price on used hubs, for the price difference I would rather have the new ones with tighter bearing pocket and ID diameters.
If you look through the for sale section you’ll see that most of the karts used around here use metric hubs. Pluss that sale price is cheep.
Humm. I do have quite a few used used ones on karts I could sell to ya for the same price. 😛November 15, 2006 at 3:44 pm #55365Rodney Ebersole
ParticipantGees, maybe I can start selling used tires for the price of new ones here too.
OK I’ll put it this way. I have tons of new american hubs for sale. Just call
888-827-9467 to place an order that will be shipped out the same day.
Or you can e-mail me for used ones at twice the price listed in the previous post and I will take them off my old karts and I will get them sent out to you after a check is recieved and clears the bank.November 15, 2006 at 3:49 pm #55366Anonymous
