ParticipantGood morning, it’s update time…
The FAA released the ground over 2 months ago. Arapahoe County engineering adopted new erosion control guidelines earlier this year. The book is over 5″ thick. Great late night reading. (ha,ha) We had to overcome such issues as them wanting large rock to filter any water runoff on all areas of the track. (sombody in their office wasn’t thinking of a kart going 80+mph and running off the track into ROCKS!!!) So after several meetings and phone calls, and explainations of how a “track” operates,
I think they get the idea. Each submittal should reflect each project, and not just a blanket response of yes or no. Every time they ask us to change something, it takes 3 weeks for them to reply if the change is acceptable. Such is life at Arap. County Engineering. I am hopefull we will have permits SOON!Our new address will be:
The Track at Centennial
13600 EagleRock Road
Englewood, Colorado 80112
303-708-9400Location:
From the North…
Take I-25 south to Arapahoe Rd. Go east to Potomac St.
Turn south (right). Take Potomac south past the Broncos training center.
As you veer left, take a right at the soccer fields and continue south on Potomac St. up the hill. ( this is maybe 1/4 mile south of the Broncos center).
At the top of the hill, on your right is a gated entrance to the airport. The sign says something like E2 secured area… This gate will become the first entrance to The Track. The property is the 16 acres to the west, right side of that access road. From the South…
Take E-470 to the Peoria exit. Go North until the street ends. Take a right. The road (County Line Road) heads East, and then makes a big left hander heading North. The road has now become Potomac St. The gate is on the left. The whole project is on the North side of Runway 28.
Once we get the ground graded, I will have an open house for all to stop by and walk the track, and get an idea of where and how is best for you to get there.
Stay tuned…
JimPs… I will start posting final info. on our web site once all the paper work is in place.

InactiveJim,
Welcome to our world. As an architect we have to deal with this everytime we do a project. People are just knocked over when we tell them it could take up to 6 months to get an approval to move one shovel of dirt on the site. I am all for smart development but the govorment is just going to start driving developers aways with all the flaming hoops they require you to jump thru.
Can’t wait for the new facility!

Participantcheck on E-bay I saw a great deal on a collection of engineering stamps.
The other day it cost me 1350.00 to have two peaces of metal changed from 16 gage to 14 gage. Them stamps must be real heavy and hard to operate sence it coast so much to make them work. - AuthorPosts
