ParticipantI could use some clarification on TaG weights for IMI. At their last race on the 25th of April I raced the TaG Senior class but at Master’s weights. The rule sheet that the scale operator had said that Senior weights and Master’s weights were the same yet we were scored seperatly. Now i guess what i need to have clarified is why we (Senior’s and Master’s) are being scored seperatly but at the same weights. I would personally like to be scored seperatly and run the true TaG Senior weights, that way i don’t have to throw 20lbs on my kart for IMI races and then take it off for CSC. We can still run together as we did on the 25th but since there seems to be a large enough turnout I think it’s no problem to divide the Master’s and Senior’s weights.

InactiveI too would like some clarification about the weights as well. I’m planning on running IMI on the 9th and need to know if I need to add more weight.

InactiveThat seems odd. If you are at the same weight, and are running together, why have 2 classes??
Hopefully Brad can chime in….

Participant14 year olds are in the junior class, we’re trying to figure out the senior and master class. Look at the CSC rules and you should be able to find out what your weight is. It would be the same as IMI’s.
And to Dane:
Ya, I am too going to race on the 9th and would like to clarify this before then but so far it looks like we might have to bring it up at the driver’s meeting and see if we can get an answer.

ParticipantThe IMI weights for Senior and Masters will match CSC and SKUSA. look here –> CSC Rules
Does that clear it up for you?

ParticipantJust what i needed to know! I didn’t know that the CSC rules page had been updated and if it’s true that Brad is going to do the same weights as SKUSA/TAGUSA then i’m a happy racer! But you can never be too safe so i’ll bring along my extra 20 just in case. Thanks Angie! :rotate:

ParticipantTaylor,
I just updated the CSC rules page today – (I should have done it right after the first CSC race 😳 )
It is official that Brad is going to keep the Seniors and Masters scored seperately, using the published weights…I spoke with him about it this morning. I am the timing/scoring person for IMI, too, so I think you can believe me. The original concern was only that we may not have enough to warrant two classes, but as there were 7 Seniors and 5 Masters, it is worth it.
Regardless, it never hurts to have your extra weights handy!
See you Sunday,
