ParticipantEasy.
Keep the class together, learn how to drive the first lap.
Problem solved.Like another karter says: to finish first first you must finish
my 2 cents worth of common sense

ParticipantYou are in a no win situation Jim. And, yet, in the end most people leave happy. It is a long day for racers and teams. It has to feel much longer for staff and volunteers. We racers will always have opinions we freely share but we recognize in the end that you Track owners are the decision makers. You are in a tough position and have to make tough calls (like what the hell to do with that Jr four stroke Tag guy :argue ). We may not always like your decisions but I accept them. I?m sure most other people feel the same.
Remember, you must be doing something right. The club series is bigger than the CSC series.

ParticipantMike,
YOU GOT IT…
If everyone thinks that the class is big, different speeds, different driving styles, lets remove all the “different” stuff and we still have the same problem. No one will be ready for August.
Lets add 12 more karts to the field, and really see what a full field looks and acts like, because we still have no idea.
Let the complaining begin…
These thoughts are mine and not The Tracks…

Participant“Now add the time to run 1 flight. 1 hour 10 min on average.
We ended at 7:00pm Sunday. Lets make it 8:10 – 8:30 if we split the class. What do do?”Thanks Jim and the crew for providing a great day of fun.
Really I would still be game if you ran all 120 of us in one race.
I did post my opinion of a change in mixing of classes on the fruit salad post that would seperate the Rotax/Tag deal.
As a previous mod Briggs racer I did like it when I could till my way past a slower rotax racer when we used to race the two classes togather. That mix could also allow a tag or rotax racer to run in booth classes too. Could running the three Jr. II’s in front of the Jr. I’s work?May 23, 2007 at 3:10 pm #58040Anonymous
InactiveWhile we may have different weights, different tires and different engines, I see some great racing going on all the way down the field – once L1 T1 has sorted itself out! If we can just heed Mike’s advice, and show a little patience through that first corner, I don’t think we would even be having this discussion. Yes it’s hard to pass and places appear easy to pick up at the start. However, it’s impossible to win when you are standing at the side of the track with beat up machinery!
At the next RMax race, maybe a reminder at the drivers meeting about T1 is in order.
If you are soliciting opinions, I say leave it as you have it now.May 23, 2007 at 4:43 pm #58041Rick Schmidt
ParticipantO.k.
The drugs wore off and I still feel somewhat the same. Jim, surely you’ve been around long enough to know people put things off till the last minute. I doubt you would have made the investment to get the Grands based on 5 drivers participating from the home series.

JimThanks for keeping your thoughts and The Tracks separated! Lol
Guess it’s easy to armchair quarterback. I don’t know enough to offer a solution or if there is a legitimate combining of other groups.
At least the old forum got lit up a little! Oh.. we’ll not be ready in August either, glad no one else will be.
