InactiveSaw a post that must have been removed this evening. Responded then it was gone. Just some comments from me.
You know Steve (Streets) if you were to spend some of your energy developing your driving and tuning skills with help from some of the people you are making comments about. You might be able to get some support from these racers (and keep your kart on the track) vs getting out of the sport because “everyone hates you”
Like I said in my earlier post, positve attitudes breed but not as fast as negative. You seem to throw a negative spin in some of your comments. (ever heard “fight fire with fire”?) If you were really trying to get out there and better yourself in the sport and had a good attitude, people would jump in to help you at whatever level you could manage even if you have limited finances. I have given others like you help with information (as we have received help) that has taken years and money to figure out as well as my spare parts because I want more competent competitors in our series. I believe there are a lot of negative influences tugging on our youth these days (plus I would rather see you racing than “gang banging” or stealing my car stereo!)
Roman insisted that we stay for trophy presentations (even though we did not podium all year last year) to give the participants our support. I respect that. It’s all about sportsmanship.
You are at a point to cowboy up and not be a talker (negative?) or come out and be a little humble and advance yourself with the help of some of the racers you are making comments about. If you cannot afford to race and have the heart and could be decent about it. I’m sure some of us could help you come up with some tuning and rubber help to get you through a CSC race. If you want to sit at your computer and fire zingers at the people in this series, I think you should sell your kart and seek another hobby. Looks like it’s back in your court Steve.
You are not at the level of this sport to worry about being torn down. (don’t you wish you had the entire field by a second or whatever?) you need to let the politics take care of themselves (that’s the dark side Ben mentioned) and if you had a reasonable attitude and the DESIRE to race you could do it and would’nt be alone. I wish Scott U. was out there this year, bet we see him next year, and I hate to see you go Streets.
If you are less fortunate than other youth, don’t let it stop you! (PM Mike Jansen) You have a racing machine, that’s 75% of the equation, try a change of attitude and I personally would spend a day with you getting you to a point to compete (don’t know the Leopard but know who does, but do know the CRG as it is very simular to the Maranello we run for Mile High Karting) and I will foot the bill for a day. Pull your foot out of your mouth and your kart off the classifieds and lets race. Puss out or step up, It’s up to you.
RickPS. I have to believe people like Derick Moore would rather talk some sence into you rather than “punch you in the stomach” Streets. But when you start tossing negative comments to our karting family, we are going to get little defensive.
If you’ve got some huevos for this P.M. me
