ParticipantI’d like to see a stock moto heavy class. It would be a logical class for most of the TaG Master guys to run if they want to run shifters. We’re too heavy to be competitive under the current stock moto weight rules.

Inactive“Pro” cannot be defined, therefore you can’t seperate the classes. Anyone that’s of age is capable of racing in an ICC class. You’d be surprised how well some people do against so called “pros”. Kyle is super fast but if we can’t beat him, then we’ll definitely learn and get faster by trying (BTW just using him as an example, I don’t even know if he’s racing stock moto).
I agree that there should be a heavy and light class though with a minimum weight or age requirement.

ParticipantI do agree that racing with the Pro guys will help you to learn and will make you faster, however, given some of us will be doing shifter for the first time- the Pros will more than likely be long gone after 2 laps and we’ll running laps by ourselves…..
It just seems more fair to me that if we end up having 12-15 racers, that we are put in a class that according to average lap or qualifying times.

InactiveWell, if the shifter boys and girls get a novice and pro class, TAG should have a novice and Pro and don’t forget about the kids! :idn:
Now that adds about 8 more classes!
I will take more track time with 15+ karts over riding around with 2 other karts any day.

InactiveI always thought the CSC was a regional or state championship. Wouldn’t that by it’s very nature mean you are looking for a higher level of competition? Club level racing is designed to be friendly and fun as an entry or beginner level. Regional or state racing is designed to satisfy a racers need for a tougher level of competition. Bonnier Moulton wrote a great article in the June 2006 issue of Kartsport about this very subject. There is not a class specifically designed for everyones needs. If there was we would have more classes than the already outrageous numbers we have in karting. Pick the class that best suits your skill level and have fun racing. 😀
