ParticipantAt Moran I tlaked with SKUSA about how to increase the number of local racers who may want to sample the SKUSA A team and how they run an event. SKUSA will be making an offical announcment soon but here is what I can tell you.
1. Look for a greatly reduced entry fee.
2. Look for a daily membership, you will not have to join SKUSA to race.
3. Only 1 set of tires will be permited for the weekend in the Tag classes.
The cost of doing this event was just slashed in half for the Tag racers. Stacey will even have trailer parking available for those who want to leave the equipment over there. Lots more news on this to follow.

InactiveDoug and Stacy,
Thanks for the update. I was wondering if I would get an answer on my reduced rate thread of over a month ago.
Yep I am coming over for both races and staying the whole week for the CSC and Tag USA/SKUSA. Mother-in-law will treat me nice!

ParticipantWell, we will be at both races too, do you know where I could get a entry form for the race doug? and a tire voucher?
Thanks.

ParticipantEntry forms and tire order forms are avaiable on the SKUSA web site at http://www.skusaonline.com You should plan on entering 7 days in advance. You can fax over your entry so you do not need to get it done right now. I would wait until SKUSA makes the offical annoucement on the entry fee and tires to avoid confusion.

InactiveThere will be an official announcement from SKUSA about the addition of some classes, and reduced entry fees this week, maybe early next week.
I’ll make sure that everyone in Colorado knows what the new info will be, and will provide links to the right places in our new website (official launch on Monday).
Personally, I’m really excited to have SKUSA come to Colorado, and I look forward to meeting a bunch of you at the event. Look me up…I’ll be the guy hiding in the trailer from Doug. 😀

ParticipantThe only part of Joe I saw in Moran was his back side as he was always running in the other direction????? :idn:
Hey guys, don’t the national boys scare ya. Yes they are fast but you can learn so much from them even if it is ony for the one corner you saw them before they disapeared. 😀 iSKUSA is trying to make this race very local friendly and I urge any one who is wondering what its like to play with some other guys to come and check it out.

May 12, 2004 News
Joe Janowski Named CEO of Superkarts! USASuperkarts! USA announced today that Joe Janowski, son of founder and interim CEO Don Janowski and well known SuperPro, took the reins of the organization effective May 10, 2004. The 31 year old Janowski has been involved in the five month internal restructuring of SKUSA. ?When my father Don had to get involved with SKUSA again early this year as an interim CEO, he asked me to assist in the effort. While SKUSA was in bad shape at the time, we knew that it was still a great company, with a great product and great customers. I was doing most of the investigative phone work, so it seemed as though everyone thought I was leading the charge. Now the buck really does stop with me,? Joe Janowski explained.
?I was an instrumental part of Superkarts! USA at its inception, and remained somewhat involved through its major growth period in the late 1990s,? he said. ?That was a really fun time in our sport. It is satisfying to see something that you helped create have that sort of success. My first order of business is to be very pointed about the fact that SKUSA is here to stay. It has been reorganized, it has a plan, and it is time to execute that plan. While I am not at liberty to get into all of the details of our short term plan, it has a number of exciting opportunities for SKUSA, our industry, and more importantly, our racers,? he added.
?My second order of business is to begin to make some long term changes to the ProMoto Tour. It is important to me that we begin to offer the Superkarts! USA ProMoto Tour to more than a small segment of the shifter and TAG racer, and make it more affordable as well. It is also a way for SKUSA National to begin to really reconnect with our regional racer. While I?m not expecting a glut of new entries for the first few PMT races with the additional classes, this does give an indication of our new direction,? he explained.
The changes for the Pro Moto Tour VI are as follows:
1. A purse has been added for Formula S1 and Super G, with payout info available later this week, effective for Grand Junction and for the remainder of the series.
2. Four classes have been added to the Pro Moto; TAG Junior, Formula MX, 125cc Stock Moto, and 60/80/85 Novice.
3. Entry fees for classes that do not receive a cash purse have been reduced. Effective for the PMT at Grand Junction, entry fees for all classes but SuperPro, Formula S1, and Super G are $195. This fee includes Friday practice, two race day entries, driver?s pass, and four gallons of fuel and oil.
4. The Bridgestone tire program has changed to allow only one (1) set for all TAG classes (YHC), and will be one (1) set for FMX (YHC), Stock Moto (YHC), and 60/80/85 Novice (YDS). This is for the Saturday and Sunday events. Tire defects will be administrated by Grand Products by calling (215) 244-1940. All new class competitors are urged to call Grand Products immediately to order tires for events. 60/80/85 Novice racers are to supply their own tires for the events.
In other news, the SKUSA phone lines are now live! On the other end is SKUSA?s new office administrator, Nicci Senter. Nicci will be handling all administrative duties. Please call Nicci for any questions regarding membership, the Pro Moto Tour, or any administrative needs.
Superkarts! USA (SKUSA) is the internationally recognized leader of the shifter kart and TAG (TAG SKUSA) racing community. For more information about SKUSA, its events, and its services, please contact the SKUSA National office at (317) 774-7025 or online at http://www.skusaonline.com.
