InactiveI guess this isn’t only true in NASCAR because I have heard more rediculous statements, rumors and criticisims since the season was completed than I care to. Regardless if this happens every year I think it is unprofessional and bad for the sport. I am sure that all the rumors everyone is hearing, at least the truth to all the rumors, will find there way through the portal of karting sometime. I say, let’s keep to racing or practicing our skills and let everything else pan out on it’s own. Until then I am done reading all the rumored reports because it doesn’t concern me. There will be a CSC and local track races next year and that is what I am looking forward to. Until then, if you want to keep you mind busy on all the rumors, go right ahead, I’m keeping mine on getting around the track faster…. See all of you out there..

ParticipantRoger, I agree.
And I think that is why Curt Kistler was suggesting some off season seminars and such (see Off Season Karting Functions thread)… trying to keep things constructive and positive. There are many areas that experienced karters, tuners, engine builders, etc. could help those less experienced… and get to know one another better in the process. So if anyone has knowledge that could be useful to others, or have an idea for a workshop… please contact Curt, so that we can have some fun while accomplishing something positive. It seems we have several new karters in the area, and I am sure they would enjoy and appreciate such efforts, as well.Angie :type:

ParticipantThanks Angie.
Roger I couldn’t agree with you more. It is my understanding that we do have a factory Aim representive that is willing to come to Denver to teach us novice privateers how to maximize our abilities with their software and on-board data systems. This is going to happen at a neutral site as soon as Angie and Scott set a firm date. Hope to see you all there.
As far as over the next few weeks go, I would love for some of you passionate, successful, knowledgeable kart tuners to step up and offer a seminar on rules, track and race etiquette, chassis and motor set-up, or anything else you folks can come up with to get us off the sofas. My office will hold up to 40 people in a classroom environment to host these seminars. It will also be a great way to just get to know and understand each other as the new season approaches.Come on Doug, you are one of the premiere part manufactures in the U.S., and you are right here in our front yard. I would love to hear how you learned the difference between axel strengths, hub lengths, motor mounts, and all the other speed secrets that you picked up along the way. (I promise to keep Matty in the 80’s for another season.)
Your thoughts again on the fresh thread will be appreciated. There have already been over 15 karters approach me through this site and phone calls, so lets get rolling.
PS: Any good helmet painters in this town? I need to get a Christmas present painted soon.
Thanks Again,

I would be happy to come and talk about kart set-up. Call me and see if we can come up with a time that will work for everyone.

They’re not in town, but I would recommend Y. B. Normul Designs. Several of members of the KGB team had their helmets done by them, quicker turnaround time and less expensive than all other the other painters we looked into, and their quality is very good too. My dad should have their phone number, give him a call.

InactiveThanks Doug and Jeff. Doug I will call you to set up a date and time. I think your set-up seminar will be very beneficial to all new karters, and us hacks.
