    Motor Sports are DANGEROUS !
While reading all the various posts regarding Punting ,Passing and mixing classes , I have to agree on one hand combining adults (is that age 15,16,18 or 21yrs?), with kids , may not be a good idea if “liability” were
the only issue , but , assuming that adults are indeed , ADULTS , one would think that “ADULTS” would race safer than kids ! I think not !

We are time restrained due to the popularity of this growing sport , and I do not want to use that as an excuse for lack of trying to conduct a “SAFE” racing experience for all who dare to engage in this very dangerous activity , so to the few who complain about getting home late , please try to be more tolerant of the time it takes to cater to each of you as best we can .

As Doug pointed out the S-2 class may be on the chopping block , which will offer us a solution of age separation .

I hope those of you who have raced at Bandimere in the past would notice that we are improving things here , making racing “SAFER” if that is possible , because it seems the “SAFER” we try to make it , the faster it gets !

When Ann-Louise and I took over the track , the first thing we did was move the existing cyclone fence way back away from the racing surface , the fences used to be just five feet from the edge of the asphalt to the steel posts without even so much as a hay bale between racer and certain injury ! It’s still not perfect , but , what is perfect anyway ???

Let’s keep the good ideas flowing !

J.B., about the only idea i can offer to make the track “safer” is that of the pit in when the track is run clockwise like it was for CSC on sunday. I assume that the track was designed more to be run counter clockwise making entering and exiting the track perfectly safe, but when run clockwise, the entry and exit become a problem. Making racers make that sudden left hander into the pit is dangerous and i saw some wrecks because of it, one in particular that crosses my mind was in the kids karts. One kid broad-sided another at a pretty good speed and they both went off the track. I’m not sure of a way to fix the problem but anything should help.

Other than that, i think your facility has improved greatly and did i hear something about paved pits……. :idn:
