So after all these years of running a Rotax with a TAG carb setup I am putting together a Rotax spec carb. Now with the ability to have 5.2g floats with 30/30 idle jets or 3.6g floats with 60/60 idle jets and either a K98 or K27 needle :rotate: , does anyone have a combination that seems to be better than the other at our altitude?
Thanks for any and all suggestions,
Tom

Jack, are you racing this year?

Not Much,
I got a promotion at work ,(MD-11 Captain) and training is about 3 months long starting
June 22. .
Good Luck this year and welcome back.

We’ve had better luck with the heavy floats and richer needle. Float height around 7mm.
I understand they have better luck with the light floats at lower density altitudes.
Congratulations on the promotion Jack.
