Rotax 125 Plug Gapping

Howdy – I’ve searched the two CO forums and ekarting news w/out much success for this question, so am posting:

What is/are the recommended gap(s) (different gaps for different situations?) for Denso IW27 (currently in the machine) and Denso IW29 plugs (next up)? As my subject line indicates, it’s a Rotax 125 Tag.

What kind of gapping tool are you guys using and where can I get?

I just use a flip out feeler gauge index.

Be very careful when gaping the IW series plugs (or any other fine wire style) The small positive wire is very easily damaged.

Thanks, guys, espec. re. the caveat from Doug. I’ll be sure not to whack the electrode w/ anything bigger than my 20 lb. sledge.
