Hello everyone.
I have a question relating to raceday equipment.
What are the karting commnity members willing to pay for pop-up tents? This is a value vs. quality question. Obviously, there are the Home Depot / Lowes pop-up at about the $100 mark. The mid level Ez-up brand via on-line retailers in the 500-800 price range, and then the commercial tents that are 999 and up.
I’ve seen several 100 dollar choices, and used one myself, and find that I’m wasting my money because it is too fragile and a broken part means buying a new tent.
I’ve seen the 500-800 Ez-up in use, and like this option, but still you have to deal with broken plastic parts and bent pieces that you have to source online, and if they are damaged during the weekend, you may loose the use of due to the damage.
The same can be said of the 999 and up price point, but you may be able to improve the parts to extruded aluminium. However you are still exposed to damage that may occur during the weekend, rendering your tent temporarily useless, or worse.
So with that, is the karting commnity interested in high quality tents with extruded aluminim parts that are replaceable, same day as use, and could be paired with a compliment of other products? Examples would be drop sides or backdrop, anchoring system, teardrop banners, table covers, and possibly, kiwi tile.
The price I’m looking to find is without digital art for the units. Thoes costs are mostly fixed and there is not much to be done there.
Thanks for the input and for any questions on this thread.
Josh.
