Joey, I’d check the SKUSA rules for number size. Any stick-on numbers you may get at the kart shops/tracks around town will most likely be fine. I would add this: make sure your numbers contrast well with their background. This makes the numbers easier for officials and spectators to see. Black on white, or black on yellow are probably the easiest to read. If your kart’s bodywork isn’t one of those colors, you can get background patches at the shops, too.

You should have your number visible on both side pods, the driver fairing, and the back of the kart, too.

If this is your rookie year, it might be a good idea to tape an “x” on the back of your helmet and the back number plates for the first 2 or three races. This will let drivers approaching from the rear know that you’re a rookie.

    Please stay away from

    #51
    and
    #2 (CSC #2 finisher in 2003)

I don’t know which one I will be using

    Thanks

If a letter is to be used, can it go in front of the number ?

If you mean like SKUSA uses………..

The letter should “follow” the number. This is a regional designator. d = Mountain region which encompasses Colorado

As in 51d (if Vito was running SKUSA this year)

If you plan on only running club races and/or CSC you won’t need a SKUSA region designator.

On the subject of Rich Vito……. I’ll buy lunch at IMI for the first person in TaG Sr. to sew Rich Vito’s number (51) to the seat of their suit.

I guess the CSC #1 panel in the TAG will not be used this year. That would mean I could use my #1 CSC plate from a nother class if I were to race TAG? Ya that’s the ticket.
Chaz, #9? or am I riding #7 today. I always have to look to see what numbers are on my karts. If I did race TAG Vito’s post motivated me to see if I could transfer a big X from my side panels to his.

If you got the #2 plate for the class, you should run that.

Rich, That’s a better welcoming to the class, how ever the only moving up in TAG I see is the exspences to race.
Maybe some day you too will move over to the most raced motors on the planet. A greasy four banger. Even if there is a ladder in racing, the four stroke is on the top rung.
