After many meetings, confereneces, phone conversations and debate, SKUSA Mountain Region has decided not to participate next weekend at PPIR.
Please refer to: viewtopic.php?f=19&t=5481 where I went on record about the safety, tire wear, and motor issues we encountered while doing our testing on the infield. It comes down to safety. There is no other reason. This race should be held on the Autocross parking lot where two fine events have already been held, without one incident. There are forces we cannot compete with in the decision making process to run the infield. For that reason, we will not support this event.
I am sure the promotors will do everything in their power to make this a fun, safe, and thrilling experience for those of you who decide to run. The PPKRC is a fine organization made up of passionate karters, and they will do everything in their power to put on a great event.
Personally, I cannot participate as Race Director based on my original comments in March.

The SKUSA MR points race will not be accounted for at this event. Our 2010 season has officially ended. We will be back in 2011 and already have next year planned out. Our core group of RD, Tech, Flagging, Scales, Timing & Scoring and a group of newly certified safety workers will be on hand for next season. More information will be released prior to the Holidays.

I personally want to thank everyone who has raced, helped out, promoted, worked and come out to watch our races this season.

How many trees do you chop down before you realise money dosnt grow on them? :bang
Time for another SKUSA-Colorado karting poll?

Posting on a karter forum is like voting for Obama, you have to live with the consequenses.

But Gunter, I didn’t vote for him and I still have to live with the consequences. Just like karting.

    Curt,

This is very confusing. There was never any notice that the PPKRC race was going to be a SKUSA points race. Does this mean the SKUSA Regions Cup race scheduled for September 18-19 (on your website) is cancelled? If so, this means the SKUSA was only two races – not much of a series.
