I just received a new 73 gear from this company and it was a surprise when I opened it up.

    The gear promises:
    *less noise
    *longer lasting
    *less sliding resistance
    *longer life for chain

    What say you all ?

I liked the composite gears I used. They definitely fulfill the promises you mentioned.

However, they are a bit fragile. The break apart rather easily if you have an off-track excursion.

    Otherwise, they’re fantastic.

I too purchased some of the new gears. I have two observations. First the standard size laser alignment tool is too small (slot). It won’t fit over the gear. The second thing is that it requires a perfect alignment or the chain will eat through the gear faster. I do believe they are less expensive. Hope this helps.

I’ve been running them all winter and couldn’t be happier with them. As claimed they doo see to be easier of the chain, as far as being quiter I don’t know or much less care. I have snapped a few though, they will not hold up to Bandi’s curbs :idn: I’m planning on running them for the rest of the season at CRE, IMI, and GJ though. We get ours from Acceleration Karting in Vegas, 14.99 for one and they get cheaper if you buy more.
