I KNOW THAT SOME OF YOU HAVE BEEN KART RACING FOR MORE THAN 2 OR 3 SEASONS,CAN THIS PICTURES BRING SOME GOOD MEMORIES BACK, THAT YOU LIKE TO SHARE? 😉 http://www.vintagekart.4t.com/documents/AKR%20Motors.pdf
November 28, 2012 at 4:13 pm #66022Kirk DeasonParticipantI think you should pick one of these up and come race in the OUTLAW class at SBR. Also check out the “proper karting” page on Facebook for more of these tasty motors.
November 28, 2012 at 4:35 pm #66023Rodney EbersoleParticipantI have a Dino and an Atlas motor but find it hard to play with them compared to the ease of racing a rotax motor.
November 28, 2012 at 7:27 pm #66024Kirk DeasonParticipantYeah, I can’t argue with you on that one, Freeze. Push button start and ease of use definitely trump the old push start method of DD. I just like to be different, I reckon.
The rotax just doesn’t get my heart racing like a screaming air-cooled, lightweight, (grenade) under my right arm.
November 29, 2012 at 1:14 am #66025Angel RamirezParticipantKIRK, YOUR IDEA SOUNDS GREAT BUT FOR ME IS A LITTLE BIT TOO FAR I MOVED TO CANCUN.AND YOU ARE RIGHT NOTHING LIKE THE EASY BUTTON OF THE ROTAX STARTING SYSTEM, AND AT SEA LEVEL THOSE MOTORS ARE ROCKETS.

December 1, 2012 at 3:41 am #66028Angel RamirezParticipantI miss you too guys, the trailer works just perfect, a little bit to big for my driveway but ok.I just got a job here so I’ll be doing some lap times as soon the economy picks up a little bit, hey guys by the way I made it all the way down here with no issues no even a flat tire I LOVE JEEPS, 6000 kms in 4 days and 18 tanks of gas on a 20 years old G.CHEROKEE hauling a 14 by 7 tandem axle enclosed trailer… that says a lot.
