ParticipantI have been discussing some off season workshops that may benefit most karters. Some of the ideas are:
Micron set-up, download, information reading, and other computer related tuning as it relates to AIM products. We could host this on a Saturday morning at our facility and exchange ideas and best practices that would enhance all of our computer abilities.
Chasis set-up and tuning for the different tracks in CO.
Weather station tuning, jetting, and other weather related changes on race day.
Rules and regulations for tech, racing, set-up…Lord knows I need this one.I am sure you all have other topics that you would like to learn more about. I know we have alot of very talented tuners, mechanics, computer whiz kids and just passionate karters in Colorado. Your thoughts on these ideas would be appreciated, and I will volunteer to host the first seminar at my place of business. This includes beverages, food, projector and boards for whatever topic goes down that day.
Your thoughts please.

InactiveI have to agree with Mike. One goal I have next year is to learn my AIM and it’s associated software. To now it has been frustrating.
Curt–you have a shop in Castle Rock?

InactiveCurt,
CRE would be up to hosting a friendly racing program next weekend, Nov.29- 30th if there is anybody that has the itch to get back on the track. It would be nice to see a TaG race at CRE if there are any takers………of course other classes are welcome. It sounds like the FREEZEMAN is going to be on ice.
After all, just how much turkey and college football or even worse, shopping, can anybody take?
If anybody is interested just let me know……….November 20, 2003 at 11:44 pm #45256Mike Jansen

ParticipantIn talking with Angie, via the WWW, we have a very knowledgeable AIM representative that has offered his time to teach us all about the software and other bells and whistles associated with the AIM systems.
Once again, I am just trying to see who may be interested, set a time and place, and let everyone know. I assume something in early December will work, then we can set up another topic, date and place if this seems to attract any interest.
Freezman, you can have the ice, and George if you can get enough interest for some events we will be there. Lets hope the weather holds this winter, if not, the seminars will be a great way to meet and exchange information, make us all faster, safer, smarter, and better friends.

InactiveI would definately be interested in a seminar to learn more about the AIM products. I have a decent handle on how to use and understand the data but would love to learn more. For those of you who are interested there is a book called “Competition Car Data Logging” that I picked up that is very good. It made it much easier to figure out what the squiggly little lines mean. I found it at Barnes & Noble, but it should be available at any major book store.

ParticipantHi all,
Great Ideas Curt! On the Mychron thing….. I spoke with Scott Jessup yesterday – who is the AIMsports technical support guy – and he will do what he can to help us all learn more! If you have any questions about your MyChron, you need to call Scott (909-674-9090 or 800-718-9090 or email at [email protected]). He is very friendly and helpful. He walked me through several different things on our MyChron set up, both on the kart and on the laptop. It started with getting the screens on the Analysis software easier to read (and look cool!). Then we added a math channel for the clutch slip factor, so we could see exactly where the clutch was engaging. And then a few other things, too, including a software problem on my laptop, when it stopped responding (that was total operator error on my part!) We have the 3 Plus, but were able to download the mapping of IMI from Sam’s Mychron Gold, and overlay Cole’s laps on it! There is so much that it can do, and Scott can help you out with all of it. While I was speaking with yesterday, Scott came here, to the forum, and registered, so that he can even answer any questions that might be posted here for him. So, don’t hesitate to post a question here, or better yet, just call or email Scott for help!By the way, since he might read this, I will take this opportunity to say “Thank You” to Scott for his help and patience with me.

InactiveAngie: could you please send me the IMI Map? This next year that is one of my goals to learn the software.
Great season and thanks for all you do for the sport. You are one of the driving factors for Colorado Kart Racing!
