ParticipantWasn’t gonna make a big deal over this originally, and still aren’t but I am going to say something.
Thank You Curt Kistler.
For those of you who were at GJ last weekend for the last MR race of the season, you know that Curt is leaving Colorado Karting.
Regardless of what you think of the man, what he and his wife Debbie have done for Colorado Karting is nothing short of amazing.I have been witness to maybe 10 percent of the countless hours and hard work that Curt and Debbie have both put in only to get nothing in return. Why? Their love of a sport that they have been apart of for over 13 years.
Curt, what you did for Colorado Karting was amazing. You brought back the best Nationally sanctioned racing series to a regional level here, and provided 2 years of fun, exciting, and close racing.
You have helped me personally, and professionally. Repaying you will not be an easy task at all.
Thanks Curt for 2 years of amazing effort and work, I wish you and Debbie all the best in NM. We are losing a great person who has been a vital part of the landscape of our sport. Where it goes from here I have no clue, but for your sake and all your hard work, I hope it continues to thrive, that is if we don’t all accomplish what seems to be our common goal of pissing all over Colorado karting, till there’s nothing left.
All the best, and good luck (even though I know you dont need it) Mr. Kistler.

ParticipantThank You Tony. Those are kind words and we appreciate it.
Karting in Colorado always finds it way through new seasons. Change is good, and it needs to be embraced by everyone moving forward. I am sure the karting community will find ways to fix the problems for low turn outs, but until the track owners find ways to mend their indifferences, there will continue to be a division that makes for these low turn outs.
We wish you all the best and we will still see you on the road. Vegas is next, and after that, who knows? The job in ABQ is treating me well and we are looking forward to permanent housing here soon. Next time you are passing through on your way South or West, give us a call. We would love to hear from all of you.
Until then, race hard, stay safe, and remember the golden rule: “It’s just karting”. :co
