ParticipantIf you can, come to the Colorado Sprint Championships (CSC) race this Sunday at Bandimere. The biggest events of the year are the CSC races, so you’ll have tons of very helpful people to talk to. The CSC also goes to IMI on the 29th, so that would be another great race to attend. And of course, if you can’t make either of those, be sure to hit one of the club races. If you make it to either CSC race stop by the Shockwave Karting trailer and we’d be more than happy to share our advice. Going to a race is by far the best way to get information about karting.

InactiveShaner,
jeff makes a good point about Sunday’s CSC race. If you can’t make that one try IMI.
All the racers are easy to talk to and will spend time with you. Come ready with all your questions, expect all different answers and be forward and come up to us and ask away.
You can also godown to the Grand Prix and watch us race this coming Friday. I will be there also.
Do searches on this website and Karting News and you will find a wealth of info.

ParticipantShaner,
I could not agree more with what the other guys are saying. A few months ago I followed that advice and went to the track. Saw the races, talked to a lot of guys there and I was able to decide based on my budget what category I should be in. I even found someone that was moving to a different category and sold me the whole package, Cassis, engine and tons of spare parts. (4 Cycle mod Heavy)
The Karting community is great, they help you a lot or at least until you get competitive? 😆

InactiveWelcome Shaner,
I pm’ed my “karting” favorites to you. I’m a newbie also, so the fav list is quite varied and unorganized. What everyone said above is spot on, The karting community is very helpful and will go out of their way to help you. At the races you will find used karts for sale as well as dealers showing new karts. Do a few rentals, hang out at your local track, talk to drivers, google and do searches in the forums and you will find everything you need to make a choice.
