InactiveOkay guys what is the secret to mounting the mojos?
The bridgestones are great to mount the MGs are harder and now the Mojos are a rock. This is ridiculous-help.
I have been mounting for 7 yrs so I am not a rookie at this. How do you do it.
Nobody on EKarting news answered my post.

ParticipantI have been mounting since I was 15. Only 7 years for you? I’ve done tires since I was 14. You need alot of MOJO to mount the MOJO’s, got MOJO? We mount MOJO’s $10 each, $5 for all others. The secret is to heat them up with a heat gun to about 200 degrees.

InactiveMike: What dam sunny days have we had; ya I do that with my Bridgestones and MGs but the mojos won’t work that way.
what’s it going to be big guy? it’s going to be 20 laps on Sunday after running at CRE on Sat physically demanding; there is no time to rest at Bandimere track.
Blinker: thanks for the secret; now I got to go out and buy a heat gun. will it ever stop.
Hey when the heck are we going to have a race at the CSC that is strickly track owners + kart store owners–you/stacey/jb/Jim K./ Doug/ Barry/RBI/Tim George/etc

ParticipantRich-
If the sun doesn’t cooperate, try ~ 5 mins in a 200 degree oven. Popped right on for me. (Well, plus tire snot, tire whiz and a few choice words!)

ParticipantRich,
I stuck the Mojos out in the sun for about 10 minutes today and they went right on with my Tire Wiz.
You should keep working on them cold, though. It will build you up for those 20 lap Mains.

InactiveWell the secret is the heat gun and putting them in front of my shop halogen lights-they were smokin and went right on.
So the tires have been through their first heat cycle. Those things are rocks.
Thanks, Blink for the tip!
20 laps oh ya! I need a 1 lap head start-how about it guys, buddies, best friends, drinking buddies, etc  :rotate:

ParticipantIf you just put some softener inside them first they will slip right on. Then just bead them with a lighter. 🙄 a ha, yep, thats the ticket.

ParticipantRich,
I got my mojo working and with a new seat i am ready for those 20 lap mains.
Quite frankly, since Bandimere is so short it really should be a 25 lap main (the spectators have spoken to me all week long about this, it’s a wonder I’ve had time to work! When I told them it was only 20 they all were going to wear black this weekend)(my sister, Mikaela, told me since I didn’t finish lap one at the last race maybe 20 laps would be a start! 8) )
I’ll see you Sunday, sounds like you’re pulling the double…

InactiveI think we need to have Mike start an endurance race………maybe like a 100 lap main………..to get that long race bug out of your system :sun:

ParticipantI’ve got a great idea!
Let’s have a 25 lap main, then run to the changing room to get out of our suits, then run up the hogback behind the speedway. First to the top then gets a mountain bike and it’s back to the finish line for the “real” winners!

InactiveHaha…….that’s pretty good. 😛
Why not run in the suits? It would be pretty cool to see that:) AND with our helmets on……
