we have the new little one (not sure the number) and it got knocked off in Vegas. It got beat up pretty bad but it still works. The first transponder I’ve seen with tire marks on it, then it looks like it may have drug a while before seperating from the kart.
Hey Rick, I thought the only one we could use was the 160 yellow one and if it drug for a while, did it have wires for a battery? If it is not too much trouble, can you let us know what model or color it is (if the model number rubbed off)? I know there are several models from R/C cars to Race cars that AMB produces.

ParticipantLes,
I think what Rick is referring to is that the X160 transponder was recently revised. As far as I know, the only change is how it’s mounted (the mounting post now goes through the center of the transponder rather than through a tab on the top–probably a stronger design). Either the old or new model is acceptable.

InactiveThanks Joe,
Thats exactly right. The new version is smaller than the previous model.

Their customer service seems pretty good. They said to send Romans in to have the damage repaired under warranty for at least part of the repair, which was caused by crash damage.
