    Sports Cars, Karts Racing This Weekend
    at Miller Motorsports Park
    NASA Utah Round 3 and SKUSA Rocky Mountain ProKart Challenge

    TOOELE VALLEY, UTAH (May 2, 2013) —Miller Motorsports Park will be busy this weekend, May 4-5, with sports cars racing on the big road racing track and a big regional kart racing event at the Miller Kart Center.

    The Utah Region of the National Auto Sport Association (NASA) will be racing on Saturday and Sunday on the 3.08-mile Outer Course. This will be the third round of their seven-round 2013 championship. Each round includes two races. In addition to the three regular racing classes (Small Bore, Big Bore and Open Wheel) there will also be sessions for NASA’s High Performance Driving Experience and Time Trial programs and a special race for Mazda Miatas at the end of each day.

    At the Miller Kart Center, Superkarts USA! (SKUSA) will hold the first two rounds of its Rocky Mountain ProKart Challenge series. This series will attract approximately 50 kart racers in eight classes from throughout Utah, Colorado, Wyoming and Arizona. They will race two full days, with two practice sessions, a qualifying session, two heat races and a feature race for each class. Drivers will be competing for points towards the annual championship.

    The action will get underway at approximately 8:00 a.m. and last until approximately 5:00 p.m. each day, varying among the different racing series. The Ace Café will be open both days, and the MMP Club House will be open to everyone for lunch from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. both days.

    The Miller Kart Track will have a Le Mans Team Karting Relay from 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm on Saturday evening. Public kart rentals will be available from 6:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Sunday. The popular MMP Zip Line will be open for rides all weekend.

    Admission for the weekend is $5/day for adults, while kids 12 and under are admitted free of charge.
