Hello,
The last race prior to the Champ Car Rotax Grand Nationals will have full tech in place. We have had 3 prior races, with Doug Welch pointing out the rules and what will be required at the Nationals.
That grace period is over. All of your equipment will need to be up to spec.National Tech Director, Scott Evans will be here to do pre-tech on Saturday, July 21st and race day tech on Sunday, July 22.
All karts found in non-compliance will be scored DQ or penalties within in published rules. No exceptions.I have the membership packets at The Track now, so stop by and pick yours up. It has the necessary decals and license info you will need.
Thanks,

JimThis is awsome news. There is no better than Scott under any tech tent. I hope he looks hard at the stock motos also. He has his ways of finding things that others tend to overlook on a busy race day.
Check your stuff three times Rotax people. 😯

Hopefully you were all paying attention to the stuff I found on your karts and got them fixed. The side pod rules, the seat washers and the fuel filter stuff, while some may think it’s petty, it’s in the rules so we have to follow them.
Good luck to all Mile High competitors.

Take a long straight edge, a carpenters level works great. Set it so that one end is on the front wheel, the other on the rear wheel. There has to be clearance with the side pod at all points. The side pod can not touch the straight edge. Some guys think they can just set the front wheels out real wide for scrutuneering and then move them back in for the race. While it is checked during pre-race, you still must pass this test as you come off the track. The ONLY exception is when the race is declared wet.
If any one wants me to go over their karts again before this event, just bring it over if you see me at The Track.
