Kurt Freiburg
ParticipantBrian, you need to challenge Brad with his 150cc TKM (I think) shifter-beater. I’m sure he’ll take if off the counter and get it on the track if you make the stakes high enough.

ParticipantA TKM 150 hauls the mail. My lil 100cc TT-75 would get waxed. I remember watching Kurt Burris race a TKM150 open on the 1/4 mile at Ascot. He whooped all the 200cc reed valves (dual engines)
I drove one before, man was it fast!

InactiveI can remember seeing that TKM with an axle clutch, HOLLY CRAP! AJ is Trying to talk me into coming out this year, What do I bring my KT’s or my leopards?

ParticipantLeopard. You have to come out. The Coors plant is calling you.
The TKM 150 I drove was Bud’s. Drove it at Camden, OH and the Lafayette, IN GP. It was fast. Too bad it was on a Indy Kart.

ParticipantI didnt know there was another one in Golden. But i do know there are some good brews in CO.
The Indiana boys throw alot of $$$ towards the silver bullett. I guess that is what ties this to KT-100 racing. Yamaha’s and Silver Bulletts!

Golden City Brewery, on Cheyenne St. between 11th and 12th. Basically a house with some brewing equipment in the shed. But very good.
Sorry for the hijack.March 7, 2008 at 3:05 am #58716Anonymous

Send it out, with a couple “10” pistons. I’ll have a trigger on the wheel, and a hole in the top in no time.
Or just get board and pull out the 4-stroke and make some power with all that noise.:wink:I’m just having fun, back in the day of 100cc racing here in CO, we where able to win 2 Colorado Pro lite state championships (96,97) with a IMI chassis, might even hold the track record still, Brad or Ian would know. The chassis was way ahead of it’s time, cost alot but nice. With the euro the other way I think Brad should start production again.
If I can keep you and Baker away from Golden long enough, we will have you 4-stroken and making some noise in that island of kt 100 racing.
By the way good luck with the Open House of Speedway Kartworks next weekend. Lori and Lainey will be there.

ParticipantGreenie, Is it a open house for Kart works, or the Green Room?
Noud, I just stopped by the plant during lunch. They have a Coors Light I.V. waiting for Baker! :bb

ParticipantAJ was the man back in the day of KT racing. I know he still holds the track record. I do not know what the time is, but Brad or Bobby would know. Since there has been talk of KT racing again, I may come out of retirement to play once in a while and maybe challenge the record AJ holds. We’ll just have to wait and see if my schedule allows the ability to race again.

InactiveWe have spoken with Bobby at imi about potential rules. At this point a weight rule seems to be in order otherwise lets “run what you brung”. The objective is to get kt100 racing back in colorado. Right now we have 4 karts that will participate. If one more karter will agree to race we can restart the class. If the class grows we can add more rules as needed. There apears to be a fair amount of equipment around.Lets get this goin. We will be at imi Sunday March 16th in the afternoon. If you are interested and can show up that would be great. If you cannot show up but are interested please conatct me or reply here
thank you

InactiveWe are still progressing with the racing program but we still only have 4 karts that are committed to racing, so if you are interested that would be great.
