Hello,
My name is Jeff Mayers and I am looking to get into the sport of Karting! My daughter, Emma, wants to race and I want to give her the opportunity to get out there and have some fun. We are very very new to the whole sport of Karting. We have been researching rules/karts and are looking for any advice on how to get started.
We live in the Loveland area just south of Fort Collins.
Thanks for any help and thanks for letting us post!
Jeff

There are two main series in Colorado to race in, one is the Colorado Karting Tour (CKT – http://coloradokartingtour.com/), the other is Colorado Sprint Championship (CSC – http://www.cscseries.com/). Both have classes for all ages of kids. The CKT is generally more popular for the younger ages but both are great series.
The CKT is having a race this Saturday at Unser Karting Centennial (http://unserkarting.com/centennial/kart-racing/). There are several shops you can buy a kart from, and used is a great option as well.
If you’re able to make it out to the race on Saturday, it would be a great opportunity to come talk to people and learn more about the sport. You’d be welcome to come find me – I’ll be working under a checkered flag tent wearing a black W Speed shirt (see the logo in my avatar). I’d be happy to answer any questions you have about getting started in karting.June 16, 2017 at 4:28 pm #68251MayersRacingParticipantThanks Jeff!
I am hoping the little one and I can make it this weekend but not 100 percent. Thanks for the great info. If we do come down i’ll make sure to stop by
