With the relationship between SCCA and Karting, how come we as karters do not have more involvement with them?
It’s my understanding that the Second Creek facility is being moved out East of DIA. They need help, we need a new track, I don’t get it.
I am relatively new to karting so please excuse my naive stance on this. If someone out there has some reasons this could not happen due to politics, laws, relationships… please let me know.
Our involvement with STARS gives us SCCA newsletters and mags, and they are consistently promoting karting. I just think someone from our side of the fence needs to get involved with them. Open up new channels for communication, and see if there may be a fit for a karting facility at the new location.
Who knows, there may even be a longer lease possibility for a new track than building one within the City limits.
Just wondering.
