Holy Crap, I just looked at the times for the Tag class and the times are amazing. What direction was the track running? Those times are fast!
Dennis, we were running the track counter-clockwise. I’m not sure if it was the case with everyone but some of us were running faster earlier in the day before it clouded up for the pre-final, and finals.
TaG times are reaally fast…don’t y’all think? I mean, average of 56 sec laps…or close to that. not that far from shifters in the 54 second range. Geez… 😕
I talked to Mike J. the other day and he said the same thing about running counter-clockwise. The track is a little faster running in that direction but 54.9’s is flyin no matter which direction you go. My fastest in race and qualifying was low 55.2’s, but I didn’t have anyone pushing me either… 😆 I was running high 55.0’s in practice clockwise.
Those are stout times. Looks like everyone is figuring out how to drive the Tag’s now. I don’t know why anyone would want to run a shifter – more cost, smaller fields and a few broken ribs don’t really add up to too much fun.
I will see some of you at RIGP this year.
