ParticipantBrad, can you give us some feedback on what Motard classes run and how you fit them in with the bikes, we are planning on doing the same thing for some of our club events..

ParticipantStacey,
They are cool to watch when they slide those things around the tight turns at high speeds.
However:
They make the day longer, put dirt on the karting surface, and the typical motard racer does not like to associate with us karters. Other than that they put additional bucks in your pocket and keep the ambulance cost down.
Just a karter opinion. Brad and Bobby do a pretty good job of keeping the IMI club races moving on schedule. Or is it that timming & scoring person up in the booth? 🙄January 17, 2005 at 5:01 pm #49465stacey cook
ParticipantCurt, yes they are pretty cool to watch… they better play nice with the karters or we will send them home 🙂 Our club events are over by 1:30 usually so hopefully we can make it work and not extend the day to much, plus WE NEED THE MONEY

ParticipantWe ran two classes, open and middle weight. There are more classes but there were not enough of them to add more. We have averaged about 15 bikes per race.

Inactivethanks for letting the supermoto guys be part of the IMI season again this year. 😀
we are working on getting a better turn out.although there was only around 15 of us last year,we all ran both classes for the seat time and to support the facility.
we really do try go out of our way to be non intrusive to the karters.we realize we are “guests”. 🙂
and to stacey……
keep us posted as to your decision to run supermotos at your track.
you are more than welcome to give my bike a rip.maybe we could arrange a stacey cook/davey newell/grham barber bash fest? 8)

ParticipantThat would be a blast! I sure miss racing the bikes.. as for Graham, the last time I raced him was on the vintage bikes, I caught him and made the pass with only 2 laps to go, I was on a 74′ CR-125 Graham on a 250 Cr, He goes totally crazy because I was on the 125 and on the last lap cleans us both off the track.. he is a wildman…
