We booked our room at the Host Hotel, Best Western Regency. Sounds to me like they are filling up fast. Keep in mind there are many different hotels in Greeley and they are all in close prox to the race site. But do get rolling on your rooms so you are not left out near the stock yards. Gets pretty aromatic out there in May. :puke

The Best Western does have the best pool if that means anything. I hope Michalea brings her thong! 😆

Mikaela’s going to be chillin the streets at Georgetown and 16th in Indy. Having a pork tenderloin, drinking a beer (at 8 AM). She wants to see what’s all the fuss with the “show us your t_ts” signs.

Me? I’ll be hanging in the suite at Turn 2 watching Lance Armstrong lead the field in the pace car cheering Colorado’s local boy Buddy Lazier and also Danica.

Michaela makes me cheer for the girl… 😆

Nothing in Motorsport compares to watching 33 cars go down the main straightaway with 350,000 (plus) cheering fans. That, and listening to Jim Nabors sing “Back Home Again in Indiana”, seriously! Been going since ’91. My Dad from ’49-’61 then ’88-present…

I’ll miss being at the inaugural GGP, y’all have a safe and fun race…

My mom and dad’s best friend = Johhny Parsons 1952 rain shortend winner. RIP dad and Johnny, I know you guys are rooting for us.

Have a great time Mike, this is something I still needd to check off my list of things to do before I go party with those guys up there.

We will miss Mikaela at the pool, but I hear those local Greeley chicks are really hot.

    Curt,

I was in Greeley once, this was before I was married. Anyhow, I picked up a few locals and I swear they smelled like Monfort! They told me that’s how you tell a local from the “outta towners!” :devil

My Dad’s favourite driver growing up was Bill Vukovich. I grew up hearing bedtime stories of him (and Duke Nalon in the Novi) My fave was Gary Bettenhausen, he broke my young heart in 1972 when he DNF’d from first less than 25 laps from the finish line. Many many stories I could tell you being there and meeting my Dad’s friends. Tom Sneva is one hilarious guy!

For all you race fans: At least once in your life you have to make it to the 500. There is nothing like it.

BTW… Less than two weeks before Grand Junction. I thought we’d never get to this point of racing!
