Wow! What a race! I think we all owe everyone who helped to make this race possible a very big thank you and pat on the back. The space allocated was minimal yet the organizers of this event did a superb job in maximizing the space we did have. The track was well laid out and quite safe! In fact, it was so safe that the only person the paramedics had to fully attend to was an older gentleman with Parkinson?s who tripped in the pits and fell! (Does anyone now how he is doing??)
All of the spectators that I talked to on Sunday were extremely impressed with the event and enjoyed the show. Kudos to Rusty, Drew, Scott, and the rest of the crew that organized this event. You did a phenomenal job! For those of you that did not attend, you missed the best event of the year!!! There is no doubt in my mind that this event will return and flourish in 2008, and I hope to see many more of you there.
The one thing that I cannot stress enough is the need for volunteers at these events. I for one learned more about street-course races by helping out this weekend than I ever could have imagined. I encourage each and every one of you to volunteer and lend a hand the next time we have the unique opportunity to host an event such as the Home Depot Grand Prix of Littleton. - AuthorPosts
