Happy New Year!
From The Track at CentennialThe Track at Centennial has some great information regarding the 2010 karting season.
First off, congratulations are in order for all the new A-license holders. The license structure put into place last year worked out fantastic. The Racing the Rockies series brought out the regions’ best racers, and chose the champions within our Rocky Mountain Region for 2009. Several of our racers competed at the Rotax Grand Nationals, and the Pepsi Center race prepared many of you for the SuperNationals in Las Vegas.
2010 is shaping up much in the same way. Leading the way with The Track at Centennial’s race team, Dog House Racing, is first A-license holder Ben Schermerhorn. Ben will be heading up brand management for the Birel line of karts. Birel is heading into 2010 after a very strong year locally with many class and race wins, as well as the WKA 2009 Manufacturer’s Cup Championship Trophy. A job well done for MRP Motorsport and Birel.
Working closely with Ben and the Birel line is national Technical Adviser Josh Smith.
Josh once again is handling tech at the prestigious Florida Winter Tour for all classes, and for Rotax at the west coast power house, Gatorz Challenge of the Americas. Both Ben and Josh, as well as Jim Keesling, were at the Birel dealer meeting in Florida prior to the PRI trade show. The president of Birel was in town, as well as the top two factory engineers, working closely with us and the 2010 chassis line-up, covering all tuning aspects of the front-running Birel product. The Track at Centennial and Dog House Racing are ready to offer you the best racing support in the region.
Rotax is back again with its own championship within the Mile High Challenge. The six race, one drop format, will run with the club events at The Track. Rotax has also added DD2 Masters Nationally! Stay tuned for more information on Rotax of the Rockies.
It is with great pleasure that Jim has accepted an invitation to be a part of the panel of experts for the upcoming Kart Industry Roundtable, titled “The New Normal”, at Kart Expo in Chicago in February. More information can be found at http://www.e-kmi.com.
Returning this year is the Denver Broncos Cheerleaders’ fundraising race event – Keeping Kids on Track. Last November, The Track at Centennial was proud to be on the 50 yard line of Invesco Field during the Denver Broncos pre-game to present $20,000.00 to the charity. We are looking forward to this year’s event. More information will follow.
Stay tuned to http://www.thetrack.us for all information regarding The Track at Centennial, race schedules and karting information.
Happy Holidays!
Jim
