    Stacey,

Are you running strictly Rotax classes on the CSC dates? If so, will they be run in conjuction on Sunday with the other CSC classes?

    Thanks,

    Tom

Tom, no we will run all TAGS approved under the CSC rules however all the drivers registered in the Rotax Max series at our track will recieve points based on their finish…

Just checking on something. Did Rotax change their rules about mixed entries for official RMC events? It used to be, from my understanding, that only licensed RMC drivers could be on the track during an official RMC race. This way non-RMC drivers could not have an outcome on the finish of an RMC driver due to something like an accident, etc. Plus TAG rules allow carb changes, which we found to be helpful last season, but RMC rules do not allow that. Wouldn’t that really handicap the RMC racers in the TAG race.

Just wanted to point that out in case the rules have not changed. Wouldn’t want the series to be DQ or anything.

I sure hope we can get more of your RMC racers at the Grand Nationals. I know you had 1 attend in 2004 and CRE had 6. I think everyone had a great time, I know I did.

    Stacy,

Dennis brings up some good points.

Since CSC is running at your track twice and if you could run the Rotax Max Challenge on the same days, you just might pull more Max Challenge guys over to run your Rotax series. Just a thought. 8)

Also the Grand Nationals are a blast for the last 2 yrs, need to pull some out of your stable to go- Back Home In Indiana 😛

One other note. Local series races can only have 6 events that count towards Max Challenge points. Race #7 is the Regional, and for us that is in May at Black Rock in Utah. I noticed you have 7 races and did not include the Regional in your list of RMC events.

Dennis, talked with SSC about running them together and got the ok, so anyone that signs up for the Rotax Max Challenge will receive seperate points for that series.. example: if you are a RMAX member and say finish 10th at the CSC event but are 1st RMAX member you would receive 1st place points.. Hope that makes sense..

All that said, what would prevent CSC from offering Rotax Max Challenge points as a resualr part of the series?

Excellent, BUT, now your RMC driver is handicapped at the CSC. They may run together but are going to have to pick which race they want to be competitive in. RMC tech rules are different than TAG. Example: The slide and pin changes allowed in TAG seemed to help quite a bit last year for us when we ran the CSC. Those will be illegal for any RMC drivers, thus putting them at a competative disadvantage at the CSC race.

Also, RMC events must be run on MOJO tires.

I’m not saying this wont work but I think you may have some unhappy campers in RMC if their always coming up short on the finish at a CSC event.

Food for thought…not trying to stir things up, but just wanted to point out the possible problems ahead of time.

A couple of reasons….but to start with the Rotax drivers would have to run by RMC rules, which would handicapp them for the TAG races.

Secondly, we already have two RMC challenges in the state now…CRE and GJMS. Both tracks are working very hard to avoid conflicts with their RMC events and CSC events.

Duff, as the Track owner we are allowed to make a few exceptions such as the tire rule.. Last year we did not run on YGKs but YHCs also Rotax is coming out with a new needle for 2005 that I understand will be legal for 2005 RMAX..
