GJMS Race #1 rain delay/make up race this Sunday 4/20

I talked to someone yesterday at GJMS. He said that the rules are as they have always been. If you want Rotax series points, then you must observe the Rotax rules and use Mojo tires. If you don’t care about Rotax points, then you may have open tires and fuel. Also, there is another race there on Saturday the 19th, so karts won’t be able to practice that day. Does this all sound right? I hope to make the race, but I prefer MG tires on that fast circuit.

Sounds right. I guess I posted it in a confusing way. The rules have not changed except for the addition of earning Rotax points if you want them. It is open tires unless you want Rotax points. The Tag senior drivers for the most part are going to run mojos even though not all of us are going for points. We want to be on the same tires to have close racing. Mojos vs MGs at GJ are not even close in times.

I will be ready to run either tire, but would still prefer the MGs. At the same time, I’d like as big a field as we can have, so I don’t want to split up the TaG classes. Could we perhaps reach an agreement on Sunday morning?

I agree, we can always talk about things and decide what to do before the race..
