InactiveHello
I was wondering if anyone had a good starting ratio for CRE in Calhan. The kart is a TAG Leopard. I have read that The Track is 12/80, IMI is 13/76 and GJ is 13/76. Any opinions on this?
Thanks

ParticipantSeems a bit tall, I’d start with 11/80 at CRE (maybe even an 11/82?), try to keep it under 16k rpms, gear accordingly after your first couple sessions. Remember, each tooth up or down on the rear sprocket is worth about 200rpm.
George at CRE is a good resource as well, give him a jingle and ask what the leopards run.
Your other gear ratio recommendations seem a bit ‘off’ as well. You’ll get a feel for it pretty quickly.
Oh, and change your ‘Charger’ username to reflect your real name. Please.

ParticipantThe gearing that you stated is for Rotax instead of Leopard. Kirks suggestion of 11/82 at CRE and 11/80 at Cent will get you very close.
